みんなさん、こんにちは!
きょう、ペッパピッグをみました。In the episode, Peppa is learning how to ride a じてんしゃ (bicycle). I learned the words つけてとあぶないとカボチャ(take care, dangerous, pumpkin). I thought it was particularly interesting that the word カボチャ is used for pumpkin, but pumpkin pie is パンプキンパイ, which makes a lot more sense in my English-oriented brain.
During the episode, Peppa is riding her bike with her friends and asks Daddy Pig to take off her ほじょりん、or stabilizers (basically training wheels). Daddy Pig has just harvested his カボチャ, which he is very proud of because it is とても大きいです。The children are racing down a hill when Peppa flies off her bike and lands on the カボチャ、crushing it. She feels bad, but Daddy Pig just says he will make some パンプキンパイ for everyone!
have to admit I love watching ペッパピッグ even though I'm a college student lol, and I like your idea of watching the Japanese version! will try that too!
ReplyDeleteカボチャ is one of my favorite foods! I always ask my mom to make it for my birthday. Peppa is such a relatable character.
ReplyDeleteI had not thought of watching western children's shows in Japanese, but it seems like a great way to learn words with the pace of the show being pretty mellow.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite show in Peppa pig too!!! I was amazed by both you and Jingyi love Peppa Pig! Peppa pig is so cute and my nick name is Peppa lol:)
