みんさん、こんにちは!
今朝、グデタマのエピソードを見ました。いつもおもしろくて、ちょっと"weird"トピックがあります。
Shakipiyo and Gudetama ended up in the PM of Japan's office, where he is under a lot of stress and suffering from low approval ratings. Apparently, they got there because once they escaped the sushi restaurant, a guy picked them up and chucked them at the PM outside of his building. They landed in his pocket. Gudetama talks to the PM, asking him why he cares so much about what other people say. The PM tells Gudetama about how he didn't even want this job, and how he was thrust into the brutal world of politics "when he was just a hatchling." Then, Gudetama campaigns for PM and wins! He serves for just a bit before the former one is re-appointed, now determined to work harder, but do it his own way. Gudetama and Shakipiyo are put under arrest by the security of the PM, who think they have caused him to collapse (he was just relaxing on the floor), but they escape and the episode ends with Gudetama floating off into the Japanese cityscape.
I really like that this show is in Japanese, and is easy to follow because the imagery is very detailed, and the plot is simple. I was so happy because at the beginning of this episode, they showed the phrase 二時間前, which we just studied and I understood! I recognized a common Japanese cultural aspect/trait: working very hard and having long hours. This is a cause for high levels of stress and pressure in both the American and Japanese business sectors.
じゃあ、また!
