Gudetama is falling out of the window of a 高いたてもの, which Shakipiyo discovers is 四十三回 (43 floors) tall. She runs down the stairs and makes it three flights before realizing that she can just take the elevator, which made me laugh. Gudetama seems to fall very slowly, saying hi to many new faces (an egg sandwich, an eggshell being repurposed as a planter, and the guy who wanted to steal Shakipiyo and Gudetama because they are talking objects). His yolk acts like a flying saucer at times, and a parachute at others. Shakipiyo actually somehow beats him to the bottom floor of the building, and it looks like Gudetama is going to fall right on her, but then he springs back up into the air to the top of the building! It turns out that he was attached to the window sill that he fell from by his chalaza (カラザ). Shakipiyo, in a state of shock, gets hit by a splat of ketchup and falls over. とてもおもしろいエピソードですね!
「そらはきれいだよ」is a phrase that Gudetama used in the show, which I actually recognized without subtitles! That made me feel pretty good about my language comprehension. This show is great for listening to casual speech, which Gudetama and Shakipiyo use with each other most of the time. Also, I saw that one of the Japanese women was eating an egg sandwich, which is one of my favorite snacks, but is something that is not very common in America. 卵サンドを食べたいです!:)
じゃあ、また!See you in the fall!
